Terms and Conditions for Course Enrolment
By enrolling in our training courses, you (the participant or company representative) agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure smooth service delivery and protect both parties.
1. Enrolment & Payment Terms
- Individual Enrolments: Full payment is required prior to the course start date. No seat will be reserved until payment has been received. Payment can be made via EFT or Payflex on our website.
- Company Enrolments: Full enrolment fee is payable before the first day of the course. If a company has a different payment policy, a signed letter confirming payment terms and due date must be provided. If payment is not received by the stated due date, a monthly interest of 3% will be charged. Continued non-payment may result in legal action.
- Late Payment: Any delayed payments will incur a 3% monthly fee until settled. If Dale Carnegie Training South Africa initiates legal action to recover unpaid fees, the participant/company will be liable for all associated legal, collection, and administrative costs.
2. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellations made more than 14 days before the course start date: Full refund.
- Cancellations made between 7–14 days before the course start date: 90% refund.
- Cancellations made less than 7 working days before the course start date: No refund.
- All cancellations must be submitted in writing via a signed document to Dale Carnegie Training South Africa.
3. Transfers & Non-Attendance
- Each participant is entitled to one free transfer credit, valid for 6 months from the original training start date. Written notice must be given at least 3 days prior to the course start date.
- After 6 months, the free credit expires. Transfers beyond this period will incur a 5% transfer fee, which increases with each subsequent reschedule or missed session.
- Failure to attend without prior notification will result in forfeiture of the course fee, with no option for rescheduling or refund.
4. Course Changes & Scheduling
- Dale Carnegie Training South Africa reserves the right to reschedule or cancel courses due to low enrolment, trainer availability, or unforeseen circumstances.
- Training dates are subject to change. A registration form and quote will be issued first. Once signed, you agree to these terms and are liable to follow through.
- An official invoice will be sent once training is confirmed. Payment is due before or on the first day of training.
5. Training Requirements
- Delegates must bring a laptop to access our online training platform, available for 12 months from the training start date.
- A calendar invite will be sent one week before training. Acceptance confirms your commitment to attend.
- If printed materials are required, an additional fee will apply depending on the programme.
6. Dietary Requirements
- Our venues and partner hotels are halaal and kosher friendly, and we cater for standard dietary needs (e.g., vegetarian, halaal-friendly, kosher-friendly).
- For strictly certified halaal or kosher meals, an additional fee applies. Requests must be made at least one week before training.
- We cannot accommodate special dietary requirements beyond the standard offering. Participants are welcome to bring their own meals this will not reduce the enrolment fee.
7. Certificates & Replacements
- A Certificate of Completion will be awarded only if:
- Full payment of enrolment fees is received.
- The participant attends and satisfactorily participates in at least 90% of the course.
- The instructor confirms that the participant has made sufficient progress.
- Replacement Certificates:
- Digital copy: R200
- Hard copy (collected): R300
- Hard copy (couriered): R380
8. Intellectual Property
All course materials are the exclusive intellectual property of Dale Carnegie & Associates. Materials are for individual use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without prior written consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
Dale Carnegie Training South Africa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from participation. Total liability is limited to the course fee paid.
10. Indemnity
- For in-person courses: Participants indemnify Dale Carnegie Training South Africa and its trainers against injury, loss, or damage during training.
11. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to treat all non-public information exchanged during the course as confidential, including trade secrets, business strategies, and client-specific data.
12. POPIA Compliance
- We collect and process personal information in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
- Your data is used solely for course administration and related communications.
- We do not share your data with third parties, except for essential service providers.
- You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by notifying us in writing.
13. Force Majeure
In the event of circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, strikes), we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued. We are not liable for travel, accommodation, or related expenses.
By enrolling in our course, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
